Zero waste event

Convinced that sport is a vector of good practices, the organizing team will ensure that the environment is respected in the various components of the event.

From its conception to its organization on D-Day, we are fully committed to this theme.

Limit the use of plastic bottles

CWE is be a zero plastic bottles event. Athletes and spectators will have access to water fountains. Glass carafes will be offered in the staff catering area.

Eliminate disposable tableware

CWE have very little disposable tableware. The food trucks will have to respect an "0 waste" charter. Eco cups will be offered for drinks and coffee. Reusable tableware will be provided for the staff.

Fight against food waste

The CWE have optimized management of food for the staff. Bulk food will be offered. Unconsumed food will be donated to charitable organization. This objective is also a component of our charter to food trucks.

Generalize the sorting system

The CWE propose waste sorting and valorization. An efficient sorting system will be proposed. An optimal waste collection and treatment system will be deployed. Composters and sorting bins will be present and visible.

Offer rewards made from recycled wood

The CWE offer all finishers the races a finisher medal, made of recycled wood. The rewards for the "long distance" and "short distance" podiums will also be made of recycled wood.

Limit the use of paper

From the preparatory meetings to the 3 days of the event, the use of paper is extremely limited. From internal working materials event communication, an optimization of the use of digital tools is sought. If not possible, recycled and recyclable materials will be sought.
